We are a busy, village church of about 60 people of all ages meeting at the Baptist Chapel to share in worship. Our Sunday morning services are contemporary and include modern worship songs led by our worship team; bible based teaching and drama. After the service we enjoy a time of fellowship over tea/coffee. We are currently without a minister and are led by our Elders and Deacons.
The young people meet in their various groups during the service and get involved in crafts, drama, bible teaching and games; click here to find out more.
In order to give a choice of worship styles, once a month, on the second Sunday, we have a more traditional afternoon Communion service at 4.00 p.m. These services include hymns accompanied by the organ, bible based teaching and Communion followed by tea and fellowship.
We have two home groups meeting regularly, each with a different approach to Bible study and discussion.
In 2008 we recognised that the Lord was calling us to be a more Missional church and during 2009 we joined with other churches in the South West as members of "Partnership for Missional Church".
"Partnership for Missional Church" was facilitated by the West of England Baptist Association and the Bath and West Diocese and offers a framework to help churches move towards a more Missional culture, based on a greater understanding of the local community and a deeper relationship with God.
As part of this journey, we are supporting some of our teenage young people as they prepare for a Mission Trip to Uganda in October 2014.
The church has various ministries including:
No Limits – a group for people with a wide range of both physical and learning difficulties
You can be assured of a warm welcome at any of our services or group activities.
